About Mia Rivers

Mia Rivers is an artist, writer, publisher, and entrepreneur whose work and career are rooted in storytelling, community, and place.

She paints and writes with a focus on silence, memory, and inheritance—exploring the emotional and historical undercurrents that shape people and landscapes. Working across visual art and prose, her creative work is deeply influenced by the American Southwest and its long-held truths, where land remembers what people try to forget.

Beyond her studio practice, Rivers is a longtime business owner and community leader in Granbury, Texas. She is the owner of a local sports bar, the publisher of Lake Granbury Living Magazine, and a practicing real estate broker. Her work in real estate spans decades and has earned her induction into the National Association of Realtors® Hall of Fame, recognizing sustained excellence, leadership, and service within the profession.

Whether through art, writing, publishing, or business, Rivers is driven by the same instinct: to build spaces—physical, cultural, and narrative—where people feel seen, connected, and grounded in place.

She lives and works in Texas.
